Johan Barnard saw the demand and started selling wood part-time back in 2001. When he was retrenched four years later in 2005, he made it his full-time job. After a decade in the wood business, “Hoppies Braaiwood” had grown its range to include firelighters, charcoal, briquettes and wholesale plastic bags — and the company was rebranded as “Hoppies Distribution”.
This family-run business, owned by Johan ‘Hoppie’ Barnard and his son Ian Barnard, has grown a great deal over the years. We still believe the customer comes first, and we go the extra mile to give great service.
